Saboba, the Capital of the Saboba district of the Northern Region,
(Latitude 9.7175 Longitude
0.3222 Altitude 406 feet) is a rural
sub-Sahelian village, on the Togo border. The area of 2,810 Km2 (17462 sq miles), has a population approaching 120,000.
This a grassland savanna, with acacia and shea trees. The
climate is hot and dry, from November to May, followed by the
rainy season, June and October. Due to poor soil and lack of
water, farming is difficult. Subsistence farming and rural poverty
is the norm for the majority of the population.




The Saboba Medical Centre’s name recently changed to
the Assemblies of God Hospital, Saboba
